(3) Personal development. Every day, read, listen to books on tape (YouTube videos), use Success on Demand in the back office, find a good seminar. Our most successful coaches don’t skip this; they aggressively seek personal development, constantly.
Whenever we see a leader’s growth start to slow down, we can usually point to a slow down in at least one of those three vital behaviors. This business is about relationships and being there for people when they need you. Get out of the coaching role and just listen to what people are telling you. It is the most incredible feeling when someone reaches out to you with some of their deepest issues. All because you were there for them! We promise if you focus on the relationship first, your business will grow. Really listen, ask questions, and really hear what they are trying to tell you. Humans need to feel connected, and this step will do just that. And how cool that your job is to reconnect with old friends, and forge new relationships? The best ☺
How to start building that relationship? "Hey girl!" messages! Here are a couple examples:
"Hey girl! I just had to message you and say how freaking CUTE your little baby is!! How do you do anything but stare at her?!"
"Hey girl! I absolutely love your hair in your profile pic-- how'd you do it?? I've tried using a wand before but it didn't end up like I thought lol!"
"Hey girl! Congrats on getting engaged!! EEEK! So exciting! I loved wedding planning lol I think in another life I must have been a wedding planner. Have so much fun!"
See? No pressure. No Beachbody. No annoying-ness lol just reconnecting and building those relationships.
Once you do this, you'll naturally start talking more about what your passion is and they'll see you posting about your journey and your groups and the conversation can turn to helping them reach their fitness and health goals!
